The Latino Fan Club feature from director Brian Brennan reminds me of Paul Morrissey's old films for Andy Warhol, Trash and Heat. The look is quick and cheap and the superstars can't always act. Yet there's a certain magic in the gritty realism and desperate humor.

The setting, a drug rehab in New York run by a group of Latinos called L.I.C.K.I.T. (Latinos in Crisis Keeping It Together) helps move the story along. Doctors and security guards alike are horny. The drug humor is pretty daring stuff in these puritanical "Just Say No" times; and you get the feeling that this video is a lot more real than 99% of the crap you'll see on "Nightline" with Ted Koppel. As for the sex, it's sweaty, spontaneous and hot -- very Latin, very New York. This is the kind of feature that really stands out amid the endless porno pablum on the shelves.
