From the red-hot pre-title scene featuring Michelle Monroe and Randy West, you know you're in for a heck of a rest with The Last Resort, and the feature does indeed deliver. Set in a randy resort where "room service" takes on meanings that Conrad Hilton never imagined, the story follows couple Ashlyn Gere and Randy Spears' attempts to get their friend, Rayne, to forget about cheating boyfriend West.
She does, thanks to the attentions of bellhop Marc Wallice and cook Joey Silvera (who does a hilarious spoof of "The Muppet Show's" Swedish Chef), and Gere finds that maid Selena Steele is also expert in customer relations.
This is a fast, breezy show with a large veteran cast that keeps the sex from getting repetitious while delivering what the viewer wants. A threesome between Gere, Steele and repairman Tom Byron is a particular delight, and Lauren Hall and Peter North make the most of their one-time shot with a special "performance" for spectator Spears.
Fine camerawork and production values add to the glossy look. If you're in the market for a quick carnal getaway, then checking into The Last Resort is definitely just the ticket.
