The Falcon crew headed up to the Russian River, a popular gay getaway area north of San Francisco, to tape this one, and the outdoor photography and resort locations are a plus. Even more photogenic is new Falcon leading man Jack Dillon, the strong silent type – sort of like a young Gary Cooper with muscles, lots of muscles. The real star, Karl Thomas, manages to hold his own appearing in three of the video’s five vignettes, including an exotic dance audition in which a beer bottle is an important prop. “Big” Rick Donovan does a competent turn as the skeptical but ultimately impressed resort manager.

But this video prompts a few quibbles, too. Running time is skimpy, music is so-so, camerawork sometimes uninspired, and the big blow-out orgy, while scorching hot in places, is awfully choppy and disjointed, almost like a preview. All in all, this is a mid-range product from a reliable company. Viewers will demand to see it, and they won’t complain, but I don’t think Big Ones will become a big favorite.
