At long lucking last! A porn vid with credible characterizations, stirrings of emotional connections, scenery worth watching and some valid, continuous, strong sex.

Director Rutherford, aided by an elegantly simple guitar score by E.M. Diaz and quality video work by Todd Montgomery, sets up story of a masculine dude (Rockland) leaving Las Vegas in his '60s Galaxie convertible and picking up cute Baldwin, (not one of the hunky brothers of mainstream acting fame, but could be).

Baldwin has been slaving away in a service-station along the desert highway. The two — Theo and Louis (sound familiar?) have myriad adventures until they finally meld into each other's arms at the end.

There's no real plot, as such, but the generic storyline actually works as the two have several separate sexual escapades: Baldwin and Hunt (as a real-looking cowboy) in the backseat of the car — outta gas in the gray-rust of the Mojave desert with a cowboy who kisses; Rockland getting head in a John, where he calls the suckee a "pig boy"; Baldwin avidly listening to an energetic threesome next door; Hunt describing a story of a motorcyclist who loses a bet with a car driver. His lovely ass is subjected to the man's brutal fucking, which he not only takes but bests by anally swallowing an orange highway-cone the guy has in his garage, followed by a huge black dildo. He then eats up the guy's fist and dick. Amazing. And he's so shy he never takes his helmet off.

Flashpoint ends with several "straight" bar-dudes raping the duo, amid a somewhat silly rescue. The vid's not perfect: for that you'd need a stronger plot, better acting, and dialogue which would sizzle, along with the sex. But it's a winner, with the uncut Rockland and ultra-cute Baldwin as major new stars.
