In a worthy follow-up to the original Secret Sex, the story may be slight, but it's the atmosphere that really counts. In a gloomy future, sex is forbidden and enforcers in black berets patrol the alleys looking for "sex criminals," Of course, the cops are just as likely to indulge themselves as the criminals, and conspiracies and betrayals abound on both sides of the struggle. The sex of this paranoid future is shadowy, furtive and desperate — just the way some of us like it!

Sex Radicals has director Taylor Hudson's auteur stamp all over it, and the production benefits greatly from his doting appreciation of his stars — nobody squeezes better performances from muscle hunks like Derek Cruise and Tom Katt, or photographs them more strikingly. Rob Cryston also makes an impression, as the sex spy caught red-handed and forced to satisfy well-endowed Chad Donovan, making his debut. Katt appears for the first time with his competition physique unshaved — he's hairy all over — and the novelty is duly exploited on the box cover.
