"San Francisco, city of sex clubs!" intones the unseen narrator, whose favorite club is the fictitious Bull Pen where director Chi Chi LaRue captures the sleazy proceedings for posterity. Fetishes include phone booths, glory holes and cop uniforms (plus sex on a squad car) as the various men come together in various combinations. Dean Johnson gets a lot of screen time, as does Rob Costa. Todd Mitchell is also memorable for starting out alone on a sofa jacking off, then finding himself in the midst of an orgy that arrives by the freight elevator behind him. Bull Pen never quite loses its staginess to capture the free-floating eroticism of real sex clubs, but it comes passably close.
