In true Bond-like fashion, Thunder Balls opens with agent 007-1/2 James Blond (Duncan Starr) betrayed and presumably killed by an amorous enemy agent (Kyle McKenna), and then miraculously escaping unscathed. Over the theme song, the credits roll while split-screen sex and Lava Lites combine to create the look and mood of a classic secret agent film. The plot unfolds, replete with double agents, clues, betrayals and lots of sex. Vince Harrington and alter persona Lana Luster play Boris and Tanya Whobitchercockoff, evil twins heading the diabolical organization CONDOM, which aims to destroy the world. The numerous trivia references from many Bond films contained in this farcical romp should please any 007-phile.
Directing (Thor Stephens), Videography (John Simms and Peter Goesinya), Editing (Kevin Glover/Aries Post), Art Direction (Galaxy Productions) and Writing (Thor Stephens) should all be noted at awards time, as well as Vince Harrington/Lana Luster's demented, dual, sex/non-sex performance.
