This is what it\'s all about, folks. If you want a specialty section that inspires awe, not awwww, this is the kind of product to look for

In general, you won't find a lot of genuine lifestylers who are big fans of fetish videos, and there's a very good reason for this: Most "fetish" videos don't actually speak to the fetish crowd. Y'see, the overwhelming majority of the well-known specialty companies aren't owned or operated by producers who are members of the lifestyle they purport to cater to. In fact, most are simply businessmen who saw a niche, and have attempted to fill it.

As a result, most modern domestic specialty tapes are little more than an exercise in tame, uninspired cliché. Essentially clueless producers splash paint on the wall in the hopes that the merely curious vanilla public might find the resultant splash interesting enough to buy it. With a few notable exceptions (Kym Wilde and Skye Blue among them), none of the high-profile specialty icons understand what they-re doing. Instead, they go through the motions and try to look convincing.

It's this mindset that has led to the mythology among fetish producers that specialty customers don't want sex in the videos. Well, of course we do. Unfortunately, accepting this fact would mean that specialty producers would have to bite the bullet and take some real chances once in a while.

Allow me to introduce risk-taking specialty auteur Joey Strange. Ladies and gentlemen, here, at last, is the real deal. Intended for neither the faint of heart nor the S/M-curious looky-loo,  Strange Life: The Breech is a cutting-edge work of art that hardcore lifestylers can take to heart.

Filled with haunting, surreal imagery, hot, pre-nom worthy music (provided by several sponsors, including Slipdisc Records, Cleopatra records and the bank Bomfog), and deft, professional editing (by Bud Swope, also pre-nom quality work) that's highly stylized without detracting from the content, no "major" specialty company has anything that can complete with this material. Also, serious kudos are due to adult industry old-timers VCX for having the vision to allow director Strange to do his thing.

The Breech is about body play. For the uninitiated, this involves subjects like play-piercing, cutting, sewing, suspension, and other delicious blood-sports. Broken into chapters, each segment of the video follows one session from beginning to end. In Stitch, gorgeous model Dustin E. allows Xeon to sew her beautiful breasts together in a cat's cradle. In Silence in Blindness, stoic Bud Cockerham has his lips and eyes sewn shut by shaved and pierced baby dyke Marina Vain. For Redemption, director Strange has a modern-day crown of thorns thrust one by one into his scalp, after which he is hung by a suspension harness. Rounding out the video is an informative short film called Marionette, in which modern primitive Allan Faulkner explains the physical and spiritual satisfaction of undergoing the kind of large-scale suspension we are treated to at the close.

If all of this sounds like Seven rather than a fetish tape, you've missed the point. Mercifully, this tape, unlike much of its competition, doesn't cater to those who don't get it. Instead, it speaks deeply to those who do.
