Jeff Stryker, ageless as a porn version of Dorian Gray, recreates the play he's taken across the country and puts it on video, but with more explicit sex than he's been allowed to do in his live show. The Hard Time play seemed little more than an excuse for Stryker to wag his famous appendage out at the audience up close and personal, and most people who saw the play were hoping for a bit more substance in the video.

It doesn't quite get there, especially after Stryker promises the audience that he's got "the biggest dick's this industry has ever seen" in the video. That's not necessarily the case. In fact, it's not even the best looking guys in the industry, although he has picked up some cuties who've been around a bit like Jackson Price and Daniel Reed, and some cute newcomers like Dante Foxx.

For the most part, the guys are gaga about being in the same room with the best-known-name in gay porn. "Gee, we're out here sunning on his deck."

"Gee we're going to have sex with that big dick of his." There's even more clich's abounding in the poorly-shot excerpts of his play: dropping the soap in the shower, that tired line "You're not in Kansas anymore" and the very obvious casting couch where former Playgirl model Randy Savino has to take that cock all the way down his throat before he gets a role in his play.

Is that how the auditions went?

To top it off, there's a rather unpleasant and brutal "rape" scene that Stryker perpetuates on a young lad that seems to throw cold water on any kind of eroticism that the rest of the tape may carry.

The video is almost made as if it's one of those infomercials for the play, with a wandering minstrel and commentary along the way by Stryker (dressed up in a nice suit, which he strips off). There's a great scene with bald and sexy Sarabia in the famed bathhouse of Chicago, Man's Country, which has hosted Stryker for many years.

Stryker seems, in some ways, to have lost touch with the gay community he's so well noted for being a part of - at least in gay porn - and if this is truly three years in the making, it's a bit of a disappointment. The day of the straight man-turned-gay is way over in the porn biz, and nowadays it takes more than a big dick.
