HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Director Will Ryder is aglow over glowing reviews received so far by his most recent feature movie, The Cursed XXX, from Adam & Eve Pictures.
"We hope to get a lot of AVN Awards nominations this fall for our cast and crew because this movie is epic and Vegas is more fun when you're in contention. This movie is a seat-of-your pants thriller," the veteran helmsman said.
XCritic.com movie reviewer Cyber5 is firmly behind the movie’s leading lady, Riley Reid. “Just hand her the Best Actress awards now, no need to wait around," Cyber5 in praise of Reid in his review.
"I gave the movie an XCritic Pick as well. It's an amazing film," stated Apache Warrior of XCritic. In his review, Apache Warrior wrote that Ryder “provided us with a compelling, creepy vibe in his supernaturalistic murder movie combined with the incredible performance of Riley Reid. At times, I got scared watching this movie. There is no doubt that she will get nominated for Best Actress."

After a fire destroys a women's shelter, killing all but one, the survivor comes to a Hollywood cam house. Soon a dead girl is found floating in the pool. The other cam girls become fearful of new resident Abigail (Riley Reid)—and when demonic spirits and paranormal activity invade the mansion, even the LAPD is baffled.
"I was blown away when I first read the script," Reid said. "I mean, my character Abigail could go in some really messed-up directions and Will let me put a lot of subtext into my acting. This was new territory for me."

Reid continued, "You really never know what a movie will look while you're shooting it. I'm really happy I was cast in The Cursed XXX."
Ryder added, "As a writer and director, you pray that you're making something unique, something you've perhaps never done before, in hopes that your cast will like the script. That's my first goal and first fear.
X-Play co-producer Scott David said, "Shooting a big feature movie is often a mess in that scenes are shot out of sequence, lighting and camera issues take time and energy away from the concentration and stamina of cast members, and a big story like this requires our full attention every single second. There's a lot to keep track of."
Ryder concluded, “We have no option or plan for failure, which is always a real possibility. So when I see reviews like these coming in, it just validates you as a writer, producer and director—and also as a casting director because you picked the perfect actors to play these roles. And I have to say, Brad Armstrong is fantastic in this movie."
The Cursed XXX also features Kat Dior, Sarah Vandella, Misty Stone, Holly Hendrix, Nia Nacci, Chloe Scott, Victoria June, Maya Bijou, Ziggy Star, Lucky Starr and Veronica Valentine. In addition to Brad Armstrong, the male performers are Seth Gamble, Chad White, Mike Mancini, Frank Bukkwyd, Connor Kennedy, Eric John and James Bartholet.
The Cursed XXX is in stores on DVD and also on VOD. It will be showcased at the Heaven & Hell Halloween party on Saturday, October 27th in Hollywood.
