LOS ANGELES—The X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) has revealed its 2020 awards nominees, and Wicked Pictures has announced that several of its creators and collaborators including Axel Braun, Brad Armstrong and Jessica Drake have received nominations in the areas of performance, direction, and production.
Top parodist Axel Braun’s smash hit Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody garnered four major nominations: Best Director (Parody), Parody of the Year, Comedy of the Year, and Best Actress (the latter for Kenzie Taylor's portrayal of the titular character).
Drake's lead performance in Armstrong's Lost Love (which received an "Editor’s Choice" from AVN) was heralded in the Best Actress category, while Armstrong's dynamic interpretation of the material was rewarded with a Best Director (Features) nomination. Armstrong is Wicked Girl and sexual wellness educator.
In other feature categories, veteran filmmaker Mike Quasar's Wicked Passions feature Love Song earned a Best Release nomination, while star Small Hands was recognized with Best Actor honors.
As with other adult ceremonies in 2020, the X-Rated Critics Organization Awards Show has shifted to an online format due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The winners will be announced in the weeks ahead at www.xrco.com.
