CALI, Columbia—VirtualNet took home two trophies during the recent awards ceremony held during the fifth edition of the LALexpo last week in Cali, Colombia.
The international event gathered the most influential companies to develop strategic partnerships and businesses in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries but also with international companies who were interested in expanding their operations.
LALexpo also welcomed the numerous and diversified companies specialized in global marketing, international legislation and legal practices, logistics, translations, hosting, traffic and payments.
Paola Moncaleano, owner of the studio VirtualNet, was the one who went onstage during the awards ceremony to accept the trophy for Best Cam Studio - Costa, on behalf of her team members. She made a point to explain that her team includes the administrative staff but also each model who personally contributes to the success of the studio, as a group.
Self-made businesswoman, Paola knows about the ins and outs of the camming business since she has experienced several positions in this industry.
“Starting a studio wasn’t an easy task, especially as a woman, but I felt that I needed to do it, I really wanted to coach and take care of a group independent and strong women. Our team has such a great potential, look by yourself, you can tell!” she said. “They are all so hard worker and passionate! It was like building a family and see empowered women grow, it was my dream and now it’s my life.”
Paola started her studio in 2010, and counts with 19 high profile models from the beautiful region of Santa Marta/Magdalena, one of the most touristic destinations in Colombia, well known for its chill, exotic and beach atmosphere.
“I love my country but especially my region, famous for its natural beauty and the people are very welcoming. It’s the perfect mix of beach parties and beautiful mountains landscape, I completely relate with this balanced lifestyle and this is what I am trying to transmit in my love for this business,” Paolo said.
“I am impressed by Paola’s ethics and energy,” said Alex Lecomte, consultant and friend of the studio owner. “She truly cares about each model and her positive energy is very communicative, I wish everyone would treat their partners the way Paola does, it shows a great ownership skill but also a certain proof of honesty.”
During her speech, Paola also made a point of honor to thank one of her main business partners, Xlovecam, the European webcam notorious established webcam brand, for their constant support and humanity. It’s with a great surprise that she was called back on stage a few minutes after to receive a second prize, the prestigious XloveCam Award for Best Studio Latino American.
