Virtual Real Porn, a website that specializes in virtual reality adult content, stated In a recent interview with ARPornTube.com that it is embracing augmented reality (AR) technology and predicted that it will one day become a vital technology choice in the future of adult entertainment.
"For the moment, we are focused on our VR productions and VRLove, the video game," a company spokesperson said. "However, we consider AR as a main technology in the future of porn. And sure, we will start some projects, but we cannot give you any date at the moment."
Virtual Real Porn is likely already familiar to fans of virtual adult content, and may even have experienced the company's products while immersed inside the comfort of their VR headset.
According to a rep at AR Porn Tube, the company was the very first adult studio to experiment with VR technology, though VR had been talked about among adult producers as early as 2008. Virtual real Porn's earliest endeavours reach as far back as 2013, a year before Facebook made its acquisition of Oculus, and 2-3 years before many of the other big-named adult studios caught on with virtual reality.
