TROUBLEfilms collaborative porn makers Chelsea Poe and Courtney Trouble will be taking their film Fucking Against Fascism up the coast for a quick tour this summer as they finish up new films and look forward to a new round of production ideas.
"This is a quick tour to continue towards our goal of screening Fucking Against Fascism in as many places as possible," said the film's director, Chelsea Poe, who plans to wrap up the tour in the midwest in the Fall. For now, events are confirmed in Vancouver, BC and Olympia, WA, where Fucking Against Fascism performer and TROUBLEfilms founder Courtney Trouble went to college in the early 00s.
In Vancouver and Olympia, the film Fucking Against Fascism will be screened alongside Bella Vendetta's Wasteland parody The Lower Floor, 30 minutes of queer porn shorts, and a free-form video porn projection set by Courtney Trouble adjacent to the proper screening. In Vancouver, the films will be matched with a local comedian Tin Lorica (their poetry has been featured by The Real Vancouver Writers Series and Poetry is Bad for You. Their comedy credits include Fox Hole Comedy and SAD Comedy).There will be a meet and greet with Chelsea Poe and Courtney Trouble after the screening.
In Olympia, Trouble will be collaborating with legendary local artist Rachel Carns on another live projected porn installation while one of Carn's many bands Leather Report plays live at the venue Cryptatropa, after a proper screening of Fucking Against Fascism.
"Olympia is one of my favorite places to make art, so when I come here it's not just about showing the films; it's about celebrating everything that this small town stands for. It's gotta be punk as funk, interesting, and just weird enough to keep you invited within city limits," said Trouble who started making porn while attending Washington's Evergreen State College.
Fucking Against Fascism was released in January 2018 as a way to generate funds to donate to organizations that provide necessary services to those marginalized by corporate greed and conservative bigotry. The film features four scenes: one exclusive solo with Poe, an artsy scene with Trouble and FTM porn star Jade Phillips, a crowd-pleasing scene with Lyric Seal and Suzie Spindrift, and a blowout threesome with Poe, Trouble, and top star Sinn Sage. Chelsea Poe cycles 30% of the film's profits through Trans Lifeline and Planned Parenthood, as well as charities devoted to helping refugee communities. The film has been screening in packed venues in London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam over the Spring.
