SAN FRANCISCO—Trans safer sex movie Transit featuring trans performer Vanniall and non-binary cast, director, and producer, Jiz Lee, will be screening during Pride Month at the Frameline, an LGBTQ+ movie festival, where it will be presented as part of the Erotic City shorts program at the Roxie Theater on June 27, at 10:00 p.m.
Transit has made its way around the world, screening in the Hump Fest world tour, San Francisco PornFilmFestival, SF Trans Film Festival, PornFilmFestival Berlin, and more.
The lineup features San Francisco pornographer and X-rated artists such as Shine Louise Houston and the late trans director and co-founder of the San Francisco Trans Film Festival, Christopher Lee.
Said Lee, "I love this movie so much. Did you know it's my first porn film post-top surgery, the first one with a co-star since the pandemic, and the first one in my 40s! Welcome to a foxy new era!"
Transit co-creators Vanniall, photographer/videographer Ashley Lake, and Lee shared a joint statement, "It is an immense honor to have our work presented by Frameline, as the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival is the longest-running, largest, and most widely-recognized queer film exhibition event in the world. Erotica is often separated from other film genres and placed in its own box as if it's not part of a wider artistic and cinematic experience. We worked hard to make a piece as beautiful as it is unabashedly pornographic, and celebrating this is important at a time when all queer and trans existence is being forcefully redefined as 'pornographic' by efforts from political censors. We win, not by censoring ourselves further, but by fighting for the right of porn to be recognized as equally important and aesthetically transformative speech."
