LOS ANGELES—Rookie first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger is behind the LA Dodgers' recent winning streak—and he’s also in the Vivid Radio Sports Spotlight this month with former Vivid Girl, adult star and legendary performer Savanna Samson.
Savanna and Sports Overnight America host Gerrie Burke will discuss young (he’s only 21) Bellinger from different points of view in this regular monthly series of on-air conversations about top athletes, which will take place on Wednesday, July 19 at 10 pm PT on the Sports Byline USA Network.
Cody is the son of Clay Bellinger, who played for the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1999-2002. He even won a World Series with Los Angeles. Clay coached Cody on the Chandler, Arizona Little League All Stars team that participated in the 2007 Little League World Series. Cody went from little league to minor league and graduated to the majors with the LA Dodgers only in April of 2017. By May, he was named National League Player of the Week and National League Rookie of the Month with nine home runs in that month. On June 20, he became the first rookie in MLB history with 10 home runs in a 10-game span.
Savanna was an award-winning performer who was the first inductee into the Vivid Entertainment Hall of Fame last October. She is a former ballerina who entered the adult industry in 2002 and starred in such classic movies as The Masseuse, Flasher, Looking In, 59 Seconds and The New Devil in Miss Jones.
When Savanna left performing in adult movies in 2006, she started her own wine company, Savanna Samson Wines. Her first red wine, Sogno Uno, was awarded an “outstanding” rating of 91 by wine critic Robert M. Parker, who called it “really opulent and luscious.” In 2011, she bought Fattoria La Fiorita s.r.l. and her wines are now sold in fine wine stores and restaurants throughout the world. Listeners can see Savanna’s most sizzling scenes at Vivid.com.
