The Gallery @ Circus Returns With Two New Exhibits

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—The Gallery @ Circus, a gallery space inside legendary adult store Circus of Books, has been revived with two new exhibits featuring Jeremy Lucido’s erotic photos as well as Jason Ebrahimi’s paintings.

The exhibits are on display at Circus of Books, located at 8861 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069. The hours are from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Lucido is an artist, photographer and zine publisher. This photography series is described as intimate and understated, and expresses his eye for the moment, for character and highly charged erotic figures.

Ebrahimi is a London born artist based in Toronto and a commissioned artist for nearly 20 years, having painted more than 1,000 paintings for his clients. His works have been described as vibrant and dynamic, with a flare of spontaneity, texture and depth.

For this exhibit, Ebrahimi wanted to prove to his audience that “irregular” geometric shapes, although harmoniously challenging, when formed correctly in an unconventional method can be magical.

The Gallery @ Circus was conceived pre-COVID with the intention of showcasing the works of LGBT artists worldwide.

Seeing the shortage of galleries with this intention made expanding this gallery a must for Circus of Books, which despite multiple ravaging events has maintained itself as a stronghold for the Los Angeles gay community since 1960.
