Erotic Heritage Museum Gets ‘Covered’ for MLK Day

LAS VEGAS—Harry Money’s Erotic Heritage Museum celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day in a most unique way.

With the unfurling of a huge First Amendment banner across the museum on Jan. 16, a grand statement will cover a sizable amount of the museum’s roof, specifically that part that faces Trump International Hotel.

“We want to serve as a reminder to our President-elect that our constitutional rights are sacred,” the museum’s Director Dr. Victoria Hartmann said.

The Erotic Heritage Museum is located directly across the street from Trump’s infamous Sin City tower, on the corner of Sammy Davis Jr. Drive and Desert Inn in Las Vegas. Dr. Hartmann and her staff welcome thousands to their 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits each year. The irony of the two buildings sitting across from one another, one a bastion of freedom and sexual education, the other the namesake of a man who has threatened Planned Parenthood, among other federal institutions, for better sexual awareness and health in the U.S., is not lost on many.

The huge roof top banner will be set across the museum’s roof at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16 (MLK Day), and stay proudly in place indefinitely.

“A drone-shot video of the installation will be posted to EHM’s social media soon right after we unveil the banner,” Dr. Victoria said. “Or you can just take a walk over to Trump’s hotel and have a look.”

The Erotic Heritage Museum is open seven days a week.
