MIAMI, FL—The Cons—CamCon, InkedCon and CannabisCon—together the first-ever B2B and fan show for the alternative lifestyles industry, are expanding from their home base in Miami and debuting a three-day event in Montevideo, Uruguay, January 15-19, 2019, and mid-September of 2019 in Las Vegas.
After what The Cons staff described as "an incredible week in Miami," The Cons want to thank everyone who attended, sponsors who participated, and all talent who made it an amazing experience with plenty of memories.
“The Cons is hands down the best convention for alternative culture in the world,” said Dave with Sativa Caveman. “I received tremendous value, education and connections.”
The women of Naked News had a great time, stating “not only was it a gathering of the hottest people in the adult industry, but it was an inclusive and fun environment for brands and individuals to collaborate and party together. We got some incredible footage and we want to thank everyone who stopped by to say hi!”
"The atmosphere at CamCon 2018 was electric,” said Cullen McRae, producer for Girls Gone Wild.
Industry professional Paolo Cammarata wrapped up the week in Miami this way: “Sunshine, beautiful women, pool floaties, glitz and glam! This may sound like a dream vacation but for myself and the people around us this was the reality of CamCon. Thank you to the hosts of CamCon for creating an amazingly upbeat and fun environment for industry professionals and beautiful models to connect. The guest speakers, the environment, and the fun interactions between the booths kept us outside and almost unaware of the Miami heat. Thankfully we had a beautiful model lounge set up to refresh, cool down and make even more connections while we indulged in sugary confections and sweet conversations. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Glam Team of CamCon who kept our models hyped up and happy. Between their services and the amazing model bags provided, it was easy to look and feel your best while connecting. Everyone on our team is happily looking forward to the next time we get to enjoy business this much.”
“The idea of combining these three lifestyles in one show ended up seamlessly integrating,” said The Cons co-founder Clinton Cox. “It’s very gratifying for Stacey and I to witness a show this cross-pollinated and watch it completely gel.”
In its first-ever double licensing deal, The Cons are expanding their reach to Montevideo and Las Vegas. "These markets are recreational cannabis territories, have tons of tattoo culture and are full of alternative models,” said The Cons co-founder Stacey Havoc.
"Our goal is to give our sponsors more exposure in new alternative verticals and territories, so they can meet new content creators, said Cox. “Our show's model reach is like no other, and any brands who are in the content business will grow their network at our shows."
2019 will be a landmark year for The Cons, with three platforms in key markets for brands and models to create new partnerships.
Montevideo, Uruguay and Las Vegas, Nevada represent markets that are ideal for the alternative lifestyle culture that is synonymous with The Cons.
“Since marijuana has recently become legal in Uruguay and Las Vegas, and because of the liberal and alternative vibe of both cities, they seemed like perfect areas to grow," said Cox. "Plus, they fall in line with our brand—and our amazing pool parties."
The Cons Uruguay will be held January 15-19 in Montevideo, and The Cons Las Vegas will be mid-September 2019.
