LOS ANGELES—Talent Testing Service (TTS) on Monday announced the release of its February 2024 update featuring the latest positivity rates of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
Overall, the three Chlamydia urine rates show a similar behavior through time including the steady downward trend from the November 2022 peak, TTS reports. In February all rates have turned down with respect to January; the total is now 0.9% from 1.5%. The male at 1.1% from 1.7%, and the female at 0.8% from 1.4%. Seeing that historic levels have been around 2.0%, the February 2024 rates below 2.0% can be considered to be within expectations.
In contrast to the prior month, all the February 2024 rates increased; the female rate at 1.0% from 0.6%, the male up to 0.5% from 0.2%, and the total rate up to 0.7% from 0.4%. Looking at the trendline, this month's rates can still be considered to be within regular level, according to TTS.
All the three rates for Febtuary 2024 dropped: the female rate to 0.4% from 1.1%, the total rate at 0.3% from 0.8%, and the male rate to 0.3% from 0.5%. The current rate levels are still within the general range of 0.0% to 1.5%.
The downward direction started in August 2023 has been resumed in February 2024. The total rate decreased to 4.7% from 6.9%, the female rate is at 5.4% from 7.6%, and the male rate is at 4.0% from 6.0%. These rates continue to be monitored weekly.
Based on market activity the positivity rates for the four tests below has December 2022 as a relevant, starting point where all levels display their peak and then start overall downward trends. In February 2024, the Chlamydia rectal rates show a further drop in the total rate going to 1.4% from 2.0%, the male rate continued to decrease to 1.5% from 2.1%, and the female rate now also dropping to 1.4% from 2.0%.
The Chlamydia throat rates continue to be aligned to their general trend with levels at or below 1.0%. Although within an overall smaller range of 0.0% to 3.5% when compared to the other swab rates, the Gonorrhea rectal lines volatility since April 2023 continues, the male rate now down to 0.6% from 2.1%, the female rate increasing to 1.7% from 0.3%, and the total rate now up at 1.2% from 1.0%.
The three Gonorrhea throat rates remain within the range of the prior five months but with levels continue to go in opposite directions for the female and male rates, the former up to 1.7% from 1.3%, and the latter down to 1.0% from 1.8%, and the total rate decreasing to 1.4% from 1.5%. In conclusion, the rate levels displayed in the Gonorrhea rectal swab tests show a more volatile behavior that then other three swab tests.
