LOS ANGELES—Streamate has joined as a gold-level sponsor of Pineapple Support, helping to provide mental health resources for its models and other adult talent.
The webcam platform joins the nearly fifty leading adult companies who have committed funds and resources to the organization.
“Streamate is very excited to be a supporting sponsor of Pineapple Support,” says Liz, Director of Marketing for Streamate. “As a leader in the cam industry, it's imperative we show our encouragement for all models' well-being, personal health, and the industry as a whole. Having organizations like Pineapple providing support and therapy services to the online adult industry is critical and strengthens us as an industry. Streamate is honored to be a part of it, and we genuinely appreciate the hard work of Pineapple Support.”
The funds provided by Streamate will help provide free and low-cost therapy to models throughout the world, and grow as an organization.
“Over the past year and a half, we’ve been able to develop innovative pilot programs that have reached hundreds of performers—a first step in building lasting performer health programs,” says Leya Tanit, founder and President of Pineapple Support. “Streamate’s sustaining commitment to Pineapple Support will not only help us expand our services, but will allow us to build an enduring organization that performers can count on to help them through difficult times.”
Pineapple Support was founded in 2018 by Tanit, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation has connected over 500 hundred adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling and emotional support.
On Oct. 30 and 31, Pineapple Support will host the first Pineapple Summit, an online conference with over two dozen seminars from leading sex-worker-aware therapists, coaches, counselors, educators and attorneys. Registration and attendance are free.
