BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom—British bukkake website Splatbukkake has won the Best Adult Paysite award at the 2023 SNAP Awards.
Held at The Steelyard in London, the event hosted around 700 creators, producers, and performers who were welcomed on a red carpet at the entrance.
This event was also the first professional adult sector award since the U.K. adult body UKAP rebranded as SNAP in 2019. Additionally, votes in all categories were cast by fans and the public, rather than a committee of judges, as had been in previous years.
The category of Best Adult Paysite was strongly contested, with Splatbukkake eventually coming in ahead of a paysite field that included Brazzers, Harmony, and Joybear.
Splatbukkake studio head Robin Banks explained, "We were as shocked as anybody when Splatbukkake was the name read out as the winner. We knew we had a lot of votes coming through as we were continually notified on socials, but we didn’t know we’d enjoy enough support to actually win."
SNAP chairperson Mark Hassell enthused, "I would personally like to thank everyone that made the first awards under the SNAP name a truly massive success not only for us but the U.K. adult industry as a whole. With such an array of winners across the board.
"It was fantastic to see sites like Splatbukkake.com finally get recognition for years of hard work and effort. So well done to them, as well as all the other winners and nominees. The support not just on the night, but over the whole process was truly wonderful, and was great to see everyone supporting both award nominees and winners alike. With so much positivity and support, as chairperson, it was so amazing to see. So a massive thank you goes to everyone!"
London-based Spring Film Studios sponsored the Best Adult Paysite category. Spring Films producer Mia Zhang stated, "As a relatively new studio we were simply blown away by the event. Banks explained, "It’s been nearly a decade of hard work for an exceptionally small team to get us to this point, and this SNAP award has just given us an appetite for more beautifully inscribed metalwork. Bring on 2024!"
