LOS ANGELES—Many don't know it, but there's a lot more to tall, beautiful brunette Sovereign Syre than hot sex scenes. In 2015, she gave a candid interview to RatedXLife, which can be found on YouTube, and expressed similar thoughts.
"I don't have trouble separating work from my personal life or maintaining normalcy in my personal life because to me, what I do is normal; it's a job," she told the world, adding, "I don't know what 'normal' is, and I don't know that 'normal' is something to aspire to. I think that 'normal' gets way too much play.
"I started doing porn to make money because I'm a writer and there's kind of no way to write and make money unless you want to write for a sitcom or you're lucky enough to be Stephen King," she added. "And maybe one day I will be, but I started doing porn because I thought it was this great job where you could make a decent amount of money without having to spend a lot of hours in the office and where you could go in, do your job and go home and it would leave plenty of time for writing, which it has; it's facilitated me being able to work on so many projects."
The point is, Sovereign Syre is her own woman, and perhaps the best phrase to describe her is "No Bullshit"—and current and future fans of the woman who's appeared in dozens of top-rated XXX features will get a chance to see her perform her comedy routines live, sometimes solo and sometimes with comedy partner (and former porn star) Alia Janine, beginning Monday, June 19 and continuing through Sunday, July 9.
