Upstart adult production company skinworXXX doesn’t like to do things in a small way, and the big success achieved by its first two movies—the all-girl superstar vehicle Sun Goddess: Malibu and the high-gloss all-sex hit Deviance—clearly shows that.
When the 2010 AVN Awards nominations were released the day before Thansgiving, the news gave the skinworXXX team something to be truly thankful for over the holiday weekend. The company, which is co-owned by adult superstars Teagan Presley and Eva Angelina along with founder/director Joshua, was nominated an impressive 10 times for the 2010 AVN Awards.
Sun Goddess: Malibu—skinworXXX’s first-ever movie, starring Presley, Adam & Eve contract star Bree Olson, Gianna Lynn and crossover sensation Sasha Grey—earned three nominations. The movie’s all-girl finale, with a sex scene between the four beauties, was nominated for Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene, while Sasha Grey’s sultry romp earned her a nomination nod for Best Solo Sex Scene. The website and online marketing effort behind the movie also received a nomination for “Best On-Line Marketing Campaign—Individual Project.”
Deviance, which was Eva Angelina’s comeback vehicle after a yearlong hiatus, received identical honors for its marketing campaign, as well as a nod given to that movie’s all-girl finale, which featured skinworXXX partners Angelina and Presley with Sunny Leone and Alexis Texas. Angelina also received two more nominations for Best Tease Performance and Best Double Penetration Sex Scene for her ménage à trois with Marco Banderas and Ben English. Shawna Lenee earned herself a Best Solo Sex Scene nom for her sexy performance.
Perhaps the biggest honor for the movie was earning a nod among porn’s elite as the “Best High End All-Sex Release”—a testament to the vision of director Joshua and the incredible camera work by director of photography B. Skow. skinworXXX also was nominated as “Best New Video Production Company”—an honor that highlights an incredible first year in the biz.
Co-owner Teagan Presley also received a nomination for Best Solo Sex Scene for her solo romp in Not the Brady’s XXX: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!, capping off an incredible month that saw Presley releasing her own iPhone application, iTeagan, and being named the newest contract star for Adam & Eve Pictures, which also exclusively distributes all of skinworXXX’s titles.
“For me, this is about the biggest honor I can have,” reflected director/CEO Joshua. “To get 10 AVN nominations for skinworXXX in our first year is an honor. It’s more than we could have ever anticipated and is the culmination of the hard work of so many. This will hopefully just be a great beginning, and next year we are going try to set the bar even higher for ourselves. It’s a cliché, but it truly is just an honor to be nominated.”
“I’ve always been a contract girl, and to be able see a vision I shared with Joshua and Eva turn into something this big is very special,” Presley added. “It is even a little extra special to have such a huge success with Joshua, who is not only my business partner, but my partner in life. I am excited to see what 2010 holds for skinworXXX, and for my new start with Adam & Eve Pictures as a contract star.”
In other words, these 10 nominations are just 10 of skinworXXX’s many reasons to be thankful.
