Feminista Jones Named Sin in the City 2020 Keynote Speaker

LAS VEGAS—Sin in the City—an adult sexual education and kink lifestyle event—announced today Feminista Jones will join the team as the 2020 Keynote Speaker.

“We are so excited to have Feminista Jones join the Sin Family this year,” said Jazz, Sin in the City’s producer. “Her passion for activism and alternative sexuality makes her the perfect fit for the sex conference with a social conscience. Here at the intersection of porn and politics, when we’re launching our new Advocacy Educational Track, Feminista makes perfect sense as a featured contributor to the world’s raunchiest adult event fighting for sexual freedom.”

Feminista Jones is an award-winning sex-positive feminist author, public speaker, and activist named one of the 100 most influential people in Philadelphia in 2017. Her debut novel, Push The Button—an erotic BDSM story centering Black identity—has sold thousands of copies in more than 10 countries and counting. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed 2019 release, Reclaiming Our Space: How Black Feminists Are Changing the World From the Tweets to the Streets.

From 2013-2016, Feminista was the Love & Sex editor for BlogHer.com and a sex columnist for Ebony magazine (“Talk Like Sex”). Her thought-provoking writing about sex, sexuality, kink, and more has been featured in many publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Time, Complex, Ebony, Essence, Salon, and Vox.

Feminista is a member of SEXx Interactive (a group devoted to creating space for sex-positive education, art, and activism) and has twice-hosted their annual SEXx Interactive Conference. She proudly educates on Hip-Hop sexuality, feminism in BDSM/kink, and queer identity at sex-positive conferences, including the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit and the Poly Dallas Millennium Conference. This summer, she will be a featured presenter at The Journey Con (a conference for BIPOC kinksters).

Feminista brings a unique voice to the conference with the diversity of her background, interests, experiences, and advocacy. Her passions for writing and supporting marginalized people have changed the lives of countless humans, and Sin in the City is proud to bring her on board for 2020.
