NEWBURGH, N.Y.—SheVibe is now shipping its new line of Sex Educator Superhero Trading Cards, offered in packs of 10 cards showcasing a unique sex educator via a superhero-style illustration.
The cards include each sex educator’s “superpower," “weapon of choice," “hidden talent” and more as part of three series of Sex Educator Superhero Trading Cards now available.
“We love sex educators!” SheVibe founder Sandra Bruce said. “The Sex Educator Superhero Trading Cards were created to honor the work and labor that sex educators perform daily. The educators we have featured cover a huge range of topics including kink, sex and disability, and sex education for all ages. These educators provide invaluable resources to communities that are often underserved such as survivors of trauma, trans folx and many more. Our society often undervalues the importance of a healthy, vibrant sex life, and we felt it was time to give them their due.”
Series 1 includes sex toy reviewing pioneer Epiphora and Kevin Patterson, author of the award-winning Love’s Not Color Blind, as well as Eva Sweeney, Jimanekia Eborn, JoEllen Notte, Kevin Patterson, Linnea Marie, Goddess Cecilia, Carly S., Super Smash Cache and Andy Duran.
Series 2 includes Dirty Lola, the creator and host of the live sex Q&A/variety show "Sex Ed a Go Go," Curvy Girl Sex author Elle Chase, Betty Butch, Kelvin Sparks, Dr. Liz Powell, Dr. Vixenne, Sunny Megatron, Backwoods Bedroom, Anne Hodder-Shipp and Kate Sloan.
Series 3 includes award-winning sex educator Goody Howard and author August Mclaughlin, who also hosts "The Girl Boner." Also featured are Luna Matatas, Sarah Brynn Holliday, Avery Heimann, Rachael Rose, Dr. Megan Stubbs, Stephen Biggs, Marla Renee Stewart and Caz Killjoy.
SheVibe will donate all quarterly proceeds from the sale of the cards to a sex positive charity or cause. The first quarter’s proceeds will be donated to SWOP Brooklyn, a sex workers advocacy group in New York.
SheVibe’s Trading Card project will include a fourth series of sex educator cards which will be coming soon. Additionally, the company is creating a Pioneers deck to honor the veterans who shaped the industry as well as a "Makers" deck to celebrate toy creators.
