CYBERSPACE—Long-running Twitter-based discussion group #SexTalkTuesday has announced that academic and sex worker Mistress Snow Ph.D. (@MistressSnowPhD) will serve as guest moderator for today's chat show, during which she will discuss the topics of whorephobia and discrimination against sex workers in civilian life. The chat will run from 8-9 p.m. ET/5-6 p.m. PT.
Sssh founder Angie Rowntree said, “Especially at such a crucial time for the sex industry, we are thrilled to have someone as dynamic as Mistress Snow moderate this week’s segment of #SexTalkTuesday. This issue impacts sex workers and content creators of every variety, and at every career level, so we are really looking forward to hearing the wide range of perspectives and experiences.”
Snow is a writer, professor, and Dominatrix. She has performed sex work off and on for the past 15 years and recently earned her Ph.D. in the Humanities. When she isn’t putting out her cigarettes on men’s tongues, she writes and researches on issues of power and labor. Her life and work has been featured in both the Chronicle of Higher Ed and the Daily Beast.
Sex Talk Tuesday bills itself as a fun and provocative Twitter-based chat held every second Tuesday of the month. #SexTalkTuesday is hosted and coordinated by Sssh.com, a source for award-winning, sex positive adult cinema for women and couples.
Each session, a guest moderator asks thought-provoking questions to a large group of participants, who send hundreds of tweets during each round of #SexTalkTuesday. The result is a discussion that invites participants to be open and candid with their thoughts and opinions on sex, life, love and the humor of it all, in a way that fosters a supportive and compassionate environment for the conversation.
