Seth Gamble Receives 27 Nominations for 2024 AVN Awards

LOS ANGELES—Reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year, four-time AVN Best Actor, and award-winning filmmaker Seth Gamble is entering awards season with 27 nominations for the 2024 AVN Awards, a personal best for the performer, actor, director and writer now entering his 18th year in adult entertainment.

Gamble's ubiquitous presence in the past year was recognized with the coveted Male Performer of the Year nomination, as well as a multitude of additional nominations which spoke to his range as a sexual performer, actor, writer and filmmaker, such as Best Actor - Featurette (The Mystery of Jane Doe, Delphine Films); Best Screenplay - Featurette ("Polar Opposites," Seth Gamble & Bree Mills, Adult Time/Pure Taboo); Best Featurette ("Polar Opposites," Adult Time/Pure Taboo); Best Tag-Team Sex Scene for "Sire" | Up to and Including Her Limits 3 from Deeper Lena Paul, Dante Colle & Seth Gamble; and Best Foursome/Orgy Scene (Nicole’s House Party | Bellesa House Party; Nicole Doshi, Scarlett Sage, Kylie Rocket, Vanessa Sky, Kate Dalia, Seth Gamble & Ramon Nomar).

Gamble's influence is perhaps nowhere more evident than in the AVN Awards’ top honor—the Grand Reel. His Axel Braun-produced Wicked Pictures thriller Reckless secured a coveted nomination in the category alongside nearly a dozen additional nods: Best Leading Actor (Gamble), Best Leading Actress (Ivy Wolfe), Best Non-Sex Performance (Axel Braun), Best Supporting Actor (Lexington Steele), Best Supporting Actress (Ryan Reid), Best Supporting Actress (August Skye), Best Three-Way Sex Scene (Ivy Wolfe, Ryan Reid & Gamble) Outstanding Directing – Individual Work (Gamble), Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene (Kenna James & Mick Blue), Best Cinematography (Billy Visual, Sammy Slater, David Lord, James Avalon & Axel Braun), and Best Editing (Claudia Ross).

“This is truly a breakout year for Seth, and I couldn’t be happier,” said an elated Braun, Seth’s longtime mentor who retired last June after a legendary 33-year career that saw him amass more porn awards than anybody else. “When he set out to make Reckless, he took a huge risk and he knew it, but while most people crack under pressure, Seth actually thrives in it, much like I used to. He not only crafted a masterpiece, but also showcased an innate ability to extract nuanced performances from his cast, including himself, adding layers of depth to the characters and elevating the film way beyond the typical adult fare, to the point where the non-sex version could literally be a successful R-rated movie shown in theaters. Seth proved himself as a director who understands the intricacies of character development, creating a film that is as intellectually stimulating as it is visually stunning, with a perfect blend of heart-stopping moments and an engaging narrative that keeps audiences hooked until the credits roll. I am so deeply honored to have been a part of this movie, but most importantly, I am immensely proud to have been part of Seth’s journey and to call him my friend. I honestly can’t wait to see what heights he will reach in the adult industry and beyond, because, mark my words, he’s just getting started…and he won’t quit until he gets to the top. So brace yourselves, it’s the Year of the Gamble!”

Gamble’s AVN Editor’s Choice Wicked epic Privilege performed nearly as well, securing Best Screenplay – Movie or Limited Series (Gamble), Best Leading Actor (Lucky Fate), Best Supporting Actor (Nathan Bronson), Best Cinematography (James Avalon), and a pair of Best Non-Sex Performance nominations for iconic industry veterans Julia Ann and Evan Stone. Gamble’s all-sex Wicked opus Vanity secured nominations for Best Gonzo/Cinemacore Movie or Limited Series, and Best Solo/Tease Performance for Blake Blossom’s segment "Drawn To You."

In a noteworthy recognition of Gamble's increasing impact on the broader adult industry landscape, the pleasure products company for which he serves as Chief Strategy Officer, The Oh Club, earned a nomination for Best Pleasure Product Manufacturer – Small.

Reflecting on the 2024 nominations, Gamble said, "I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at AVN for graciously acknowledging my contributions as a filmmaker, performer, actor, and writer. Reflecting on my 17th year in the industry, I found this year to be exceptionally enriching in terms of versatility. However, the recognition in categories such as Male Performer of the Year, Best Leading Actor, Outstanding Directing - Individual Project, and the Grand Reel for Reckless goes beyond any expectations."

Reflecting further on the reception of Reckless, Gamble observed, "The acknowledgment of our collective efforts in the form of a dozen nominations is truly overwhelming. This project was a genuine labor of love for each person involved, and to witness our hard work being recognized is an incredible and humbling honor. The unwavering dedication from the cast and crew, their tireless efforts, and the abundance of talent and creativity they brought to the set was nothing short of awe-inspiring. I can't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the outstanding commitment demonstrated by everyone. The atmosphere on set was not just creatively charged but also emotionally resonant."

Gamble concluded his appreciation by saying, "I am especially grateful to my wonderful wife, Kenzie Taylor, whose unwavering support is the bedrock of my journey. Thank you, AVN, for these nominations. Thank you, Bree Mills, for your support, and thanks to all the directors I’ve had a chance to work with this year. And of course, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my friend and mentor Axel Braun."
