St. Clair explores the stigma of sex work and its effect on both family and romantic relationships, relating her own experience of "coming out" as a porn performer to her significant other and how a relationship with a performer is based upon boundaries and trust. St. Clair also interviews her performer friends about their experiences, both good and bad, and when the subject of romance comes up, she helps break the myth that all performers come from bad homes and shows that supportive families do exist.
She also noted that among those who may not have relationships with their families, such as St. Clair herself, the bond of sex work creates a family among performers.
“I wanted to use this opportunity to share with fans some very personal experiences that myself and fellow performers have off camera,” St. Clair said. “I think it’s important for not only fans, but society as a whole to see how sex workers deal with the same issues that people outside the industry face—especially when it comes to relationships.
