MIAMI—One thing the lockdown has "accomplished" is the surge of new creators onto adult content platforms such as OnlyFans. Performer/model Romi Chase has some advice for newbies looking to keep their businesses afloat during the holidays.
“December is a rough month for online entertainers like myself, as most people prioritize different things during the holidays—buying gifts for their loved ones, treating themselves, spending more time with their families and friends—rather than surfing online,” observed Chase, who moved to the U.S. from her native Poland in 2016 and launched her modeling career two years ago.
“It can be pretty discouraging, but it's normal to lose subscribers during this time of the year. You don’t have to settle for making less money; now is the time to offer deals to existing and expired subs. Throw in a small free gift or do a raffle or giveaway—but be strategic because you don't want your audience to get used to an over-abundance of deals and freebies.”
As far as holiday-themed content on her free socials, Chase said that “it doesn't seem to appeal to the masses, but it definitely does help build a relationship with my true fans, as it’s a more personalized experience compared to scrolling through a random model's Instagram.”
Chase treats her fans to an exclusive photo and video set each holiday, and reminds new models to plan out their content early, take advantage of the platforms’ scheduled posting/messaging features and shoot in bulk, then gradually release it over time.
“Ideally I want to have a month’s worth of content at all times, so I'm never pressed to do things chaotically," she explained. "I rarely do anything on a whim, so during the holidays, I highly recommend you do the same. It will free up some time so that you can enjoy the company of your loved ones.”
This holiday season, for the next 30 days, Chase is offering her OnlyFans subscribers a limited-time 25% off subscription. She’s also working on a new online training workshop to help aspiring content creators start a new career and earn money from home.
