LONDON, UK—For yet another year, adult industry cycling club Porn Pedallers (PPCC) is calling on colleagues and fans alike to join them for a World AIDS Day charity cycle around London.
Dubbed "Ride The Ribbon," the 25-mile London loop is scheduled for November 30, 2019. The ride starts and finishes in Victoria Park, East London, and will be touring key LGBTQ landmarks around the capital. The ride will take place on open roads, though where possible, the route will follow traffic-calmed quiet ways and cycle superhighways, making it suitable for newbie cyclists.
This year's "Ride The Ribbon" will be launched at the PPCC Friday Night Rub Down at Platinum Lace, Piccadilly Circus, on November 1—tonight!
But "Ride the Ribbon" isn't just for sport. It is more of a celebratory parade, fundraising for Terrence Higgins Trust and Positive East, to promote better sexual health for all, fight HIV stigma and raise awareness of the fact that people who are getting effective treatment for HIV can’t pass it on. The dress code for the ride is "red glam": the campier the better. A 9 a.m. start means that anyone wishing to can also participate in the annual 10K Red Run which starts out from Victoria Park at noon.
"Ride The Ribbon" is open to everyone. There is no entry fee. However, pre-registration is required. To register, email [email protected].
2019 has seen PPCC ride an ambitious season, including London to Flanders, the Brighton 50, the monumental 900-mile Atlantic Streak down the west coast of France, London to Amsterdam, Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, and most recently, Paris 24, which saw a team of four successfully conquer London to Paris in 24 hours in horrendous conditions.
All rides are generously supported by the club’s sponsors: AdultWork.com, Age Checked, AVYourself, BabeStationCams, Doxy, Future Parties, PascalsSubSluts.com, Platinum Lace Gentlemen’s Clubs, Television X, VeriMe and Zaucey.com.
