LOS ANGELES—Rae Richmond marks one year in the adult business as one of OnlyFans' most-wanted content creators.
“When I first started, I had everything ready and planned to launch May 1, but I was too scared!” explained Richmond, a former corporate manager in training and quality assurance, of her arrival into the industry. “It took me until May 7 to get my nerve up, so that’s why my one-year anniversary was May 7!”
As a midlife (50-plus) creator, she admitted she was anxious about taking such a leap, but said, “The response has been overwhelmingly positive after one year at the top of the platform. To the handful of people I’ve encountered who still have a problem with it or don’t understand, I would say what seems scandalous and immoral to you is like someone watching me brush my teeth or straighten my hair to me.
“I don’t see sexual activity with my man as being wrong or dirty. It’s a part of life, and if I choose to let people watch that part of me, it shouldn’t be judged any differently than any other creator on the Internet with any other type of content.”
Richmond, whose success has inspired a comprehensive coaching program for fledging OnlyFans models, CreatorSuccessCourse.net, said that she has no regrets about making her life-changing decision exactly one year ago.
