New Reality Series 'DateRanger' Launched by Producer Steven Shame

CYBERSPACE—German adult producer Steven Shame recently launched his British series DateRanger, which is part of the internationalization of his production portfolio and a portent of the goal he's set for 2021: "The next 12 months are all about increasing international awareness,"  he said.

The series includes such top actresses as Tina Kay, Alexxa Vice and Zara DuRose, and with the exception of the series pilot, which was shot in Berlin, the 16 episodes of DateRanger were produced in London.

"In the past, we have taken inspiration for many of our productions from young formats on YouTube," Shame explained. "DateRanger takes the next step and combines that style with state-of-the-art reality TV influences."

Each episode of DateRanger will be introduced in the style of a reality show. The series will be carried by veteran actor Bodo Burner (2020 AVN Award nominee) in the first season. Before Burner was active as an adult performer, he spent several years in front of the camera in numerous TV formats.

"Since Bodo Burner has a lot of experience with POV productions, we combine point-of-view with gonzo elements in DateRanger," Shame noted. "On the one hand, the viewer has an overview of the scene, but on the other hand, he is up close and personal in Bodo Burner's first-person perspective."

DateRanger, like all Shame series (including Cam Baron and Dating Baron), was produced bilingually in English and German. The first season consists of 16 episodes, and are currently available on  adult tube sites Pornhub, xHamster, XVideos and XNXX. Additional distribution channels will be announced at a later date. A second season is already in the works.
