LOS ANGELES, CA — International adult performer Priya Rai has decided to retire from performing on camera in adult videos. Rai is concentrating on her mainstream career, going to India soon to film a Bollywood movie project, and has a new mainstream horror movie coming out from Tom Kat Films; Isis Rising: Curse of the Lady Mummy in which she stars and co-produced with actor James Bartholet.
Rai also announced her recent engagement.
"I've met a very wonderful man, he is thoughtful and caring. I know you all want details, but we want to keep our private life private,” stated Rai. “So, all I am going to say is that he is a very successful businessman and he is not in the industry. This was my choice to retire from performing, not anybody but me, and if you know me, once I set my mind on something, that's it! I am so grateful for all the work and success I have had in this business and all the wonderful people I've worked with, but it is time for me to move ahead with my mainstream career and my personal life. I want to thank you all for a helluva great memorable time. I had a lot of fun. To all of my fabulous fans I say thank you so much and please look for me in my mainstream projects; you'll love them."
Rai is the subject of a profile story in the September 2013 issue of Hustler Magazine, which is currently on newsstands.
