'Uncensored' Discusses the Uses & Abuses of Porn

CYBERSPACE—On the next edition of "Uncensored," the ongoing, tri-monthly Zoom event hosted by Dr. Zhana Vrangalova, on Saturday, April 10, beginning at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, the topic will be porn, its uses and abuses.

"For some of us, watching porn is a regular activity," explained Dr. Zhana. "We watch our friends or idols on OnlyFans. We follow our favorite porn star on Instagram and Twitter. We watch our favorite genres of porn when we need a release from a stressful day. What has porn done for you? Or to you? Has porn improved your sex life? Has it made your sex life worse? What have you learned from porn? Has porn been educational for you? Has porn ever helped you heal from trauma?"

All this and more will be discussed on "Uncensored," which will be broadcasted through Zoom, with attendees receiving a private link/password the day before the event. Tickets are pay-what-you-can, though with a suggested donation of $27. Dates and topics of all current and upcoming events may be found here.

"Uncensored" features open conversations between host Dr. Zhana, her team, occasional guest speakers, and registered participants about “sex, love, intimacy and other things we never talk about.” The events include objective research and open discussion around topics like threesomes, sex work and kink. "Uncensored" offers an open-minded, sex-positive community and opportunities for skill sharing, storytelling and feedback. Attendees have reported feeling affirmed (32 percent felt heard and seen), self-aware (46 percent had new insights into themselves), and educated (62 percent learned new facts and information) through attending "Uncensored" events.

Since its inception, "Uncensored" has grown into a community of more than 500 cumulative participants from six continents, with ages ranging from 18 to over 60.
