LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health nonprofit, has launched an in-house training and support program to help team members of sponsor organizations provide better care to both creators and peers and feel supported in their roles.
Clips4Sale is the first platform to fully invest in Pineapple Support's training & support initiative. The package serves to equip team members with the knowledge and resources to better handle difficult situations and empower them with confidence and communication skills.
The program includes training, monthly support groups, and regular team check-ins:
In-house training package
Pineapple Support will provide Clips4Sale with five training modules, providing the knowledge to equip the team to better address complex and sometimes critical issues, from understanding sexuality and gender identity to identifying a performer in crisis.
In-house support groups
As part of the program, Pineapple Support is leading a monthly, in-house, 60-minute support group tailored to the Clips4Sale team's needs—providing members with a support network, accountability, feedback, and different strategies for tackling difficult issues.
In-house check-ins
These mental well-being check-ins provide proactive support to look after the team itself, creating a space to discuss any stressors and providing support for anyone struggling. Additionally, a dedicated Pineapple Support therapist is on hand to provide check-in sessions with staff members upon request.
“As longtime members of the fetish community, C4S understands the vital importance of education and our responsibility to models and creators,” says Avery Martin of Clips4Sale. “We’re proud to work with Pineapple Support on this educational series, and to help those working in our industry do so in a way that is safe, aware, and supported.”
Pineapple Support was founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 10,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
“Our in-house training and support package is designed to take care of the health and well-being of team members, helping them feel valued and supported while creating a sense of community and team spirit,” says Tanit. “By offering Pineapple’s training initiative to their staff members, Clips4Sale is demonstrating a real commitment to its creators and workers. In an increasingly diverse industry, all platforms should be working to ensure that those on them — and those working for them — are safe and supported. I’m thankful that they’ve trusted Pineapple Support to provide this training, and I’m excited to work with them.”
As an incentive for participating organizations, the full training and support package could potentially reduce liability insurance costs. Pineapple Support provides certificates that clearly outline all completed courses, which may be taken into consideration during insurance renewals.
