HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Oliver Wong (a.k.a. adult movie director Bloomer Yang) will be hosting Teresa Lo's Thursday Night Mic tomorrow night, Sept. 29 at the Good Nite in North Hollywood, Calif.
Wong will be one of the guest hosts, and also will be doing a stand-up routine. The night lets virgin and veteran comedians try out new jokes, so it's always a surprise who will be on the mic. Comedians looking to go on stage for five-minute sets can sign up after ordering one item from the bar. The event starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Following the open mic is a karaoke party.
“I love Teresa Lo, and I’m excited to be one of the guest hosts this Thursday night! I remember when I was just starting out as a comedian, and these events were crucial to getting on stage. And some of the new comedians even blow away the ones who have been doing it for a long time. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to start the weekend, so definitely come out and join us!” says Wong.
The Good Nite is located at 10721 Burbank Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m., and early arrival is suggested.
