HOLLYWOOD—The makers of new Anthem One cinema lighting system invite all those involved in the tech side of production, including members of the adult movie and camming industries, to see the system demonstrated at an open house Monday, August 20 at Quixote Studios in West Hollywood.
"I promise you will be blown away at the high quality, affordability, the ease of portability and how perfect the light is," Anthem One inventor and chief design engineer Justin Evans said.
According to the company, five years of research and development went into the system, which weighs just over seven pounds and uses replaceable light cards for various color temperatures. B&H will be the first retail outlet to carry Anthem One.
"The range of lighting possibilities are wonderful with Anthem One for Hollywood movies, TV shows, feature adult movies, gonzo movies and those doing cam shows," asserted AVN Hall of Fame director Will Ryder, who is a co-owner of Anthem One and was an original investor in the system. "I'm very excited to attend the showcase demonstrations that will be taking place, so come on by because this is the answer to your lighting needs."
Hollywood screenwriter Carl Gottlieb, best known for his work on classics Jaws and The Jerk, is a proponent of Anthem One and will be on hand at the open house.
"Carl was the guy that brought me into Anthem One before we even had a name for it, and I'm very proud to be a part of this because this light is truly trend-setting, affordable and very needed," Ryder said.
A growing list of attachements for the Anthem One are being created, including a long-lasting lithium-ion battery to accomodate use in remote locations. It can be twice as bright as an HMI, with no hot spots or blue fringe, and is flicker free at any frame rate. It also offers 0-100 percent dimming with no shift in color temperature.
