LOS ANGELES—Fledgling actress/model Ferris Bee has announced that she has launched her new OnlyFans page, OnlyFans.com/ferrisbee. Bee will not only star in videos and appear in photos, but also produce and direct most of the content which will appear on her portion of the social media platform.
In 2019, Bee, a Rochester, New York native, relocated to Southern California to pursue her dreams. But in early 2020, the COVID pandemic and social protests brought all her opportunities in the field of entertainment to a stop, and as her savings dwindled, she was forced to rethink her immediate future. An acquaintance suggested she try OnlyFans.
Bee said that she “had never had any ambitions to enter the adult entertainment industry,” and although she had a sex-positive worldview, the thought of undressing or being sexual on camera “terrified“ her.
But her fears diminished as she saw some of the stigma around sexy content fade. Everyday people the world over, out of work due to the pandemic, were turning to OnlyFans as a money-making venture. The website received a shout-out in a Beyoncé song, and was further normalized as many mainstream celebrities, including Cardi B., weather girl Yanet Garcia, and Sonja Morgan from Real Housewives of New York successfully joined the the subscription-based platform.
Upon doing some research and speaking with several creators, “Suddenly I saw things as having an incredible opportunity present itself during the pandemic, and I decided to seize the reins and pursue it."
“I thought, ‘I’ve always been a creative and open-minded person, especially when it comes to sex,’” said Bee. “This platform gives me the opportunity to thoroughly explore my fantasies free of shame, hopefully bring some of my fans’ desires to life, and never stop pushing myself on all levels.”
Bee’s OnlyFans subscribers can expect multiple daily photo or video updates, which are determined largely by feedback from followers on all her social media platforms. She will also be hosting special virtual events and providing opportunities to participate in her creative process.
“I’m new to all of this,” she admitted, “but one of the most important aspects for me is that everyone have fun and be involved as much as possible.”
