HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Mistress Mia Darque recently appeared on the "69 Whiskey" podcast to talk about professional domination, DomCon, and the dungeon Sanctuary Studios.
The "69 Whiskey" podcast is hosted by "Dollar Store Dom" Eric Weinstein, and Motorboatin' Matt. They covered topics ranging from drinking recipes to kink and adult entertainment. The pair began their show on 107.7 The Bronc and brought it onto internet airwaves for listeners to enjoy their "raw, uncensored, and unapologetic" adult format.
Matt inquired regarding lifestyle versus professional BDSM, "What does a professional domme entail? Does that just mean that there's money involved, or is there something more to that?"
Darque responded, "It doesn't mean that one is better than the other. It just means that one has decided to take the time out of their day, to spend their own personal money, to set up skills that are specifically meant for other people. It's not just for what I want to do…When you deal with someone whose lifestyle, they give you what they feel that you need, as the Dominant… As a professional, you get to ask and coordinate what you want."
Darque has been active in the BDSM society for over 20 years, getting kinky at international fetish clubs, along with doing sessions at her favorite dungeons like Sanctuary Studios LAX. Darque is also a BDSM educator and serves on the board of DomCon where she is actively working with its events in Los Angeles and New Orleans.
Darque explained about her first time at the convention, "I felt that I was not getting the kind of coverage that I wanted. I had been told by almost every other professional I knew that if you don't go to DomCon, you really haven't made it in your career… I had a fuckin' ball and I was hooked… This was the first time I had the experience of everything in one spot."
Darque can be found at JustSayRed.com. She will be at DomCon New Orleans, Oct. 26 to 29, and at Sanctuary Studios in Los Angeles.
