LOS ANGELES—Mistress Maitland, the summer release from Deeper and Kayden Kross, is currently the most popular VOD streaming on the Deeper.com site.
The feature, which also stars Riley Reid, Gabbie Carter, Izzy Lush, Naomi Swann and Pressure, follows its title character, Mistress Maitland (Maitland Ward), through a series of high-stakes games she plays with her equally-dominating husband (Markus Dupree).
Mistress Maitland was a labor of love for Ward.
“Kayden and I really created something special coming off the major success of Drive last year,” Ward said of the feature, which was written, produced and directed by Kross with Ward in mind.
Since its release in August, the DVD for Mistress Maitland sold out on Deeper.com during three separate weeks. The picture has maintained its number one position as the top streaming choice on the site for three consecutive weeks since its VOD release Sept. 22.
Ward is currently steaming up screens with Deeper.com's original series Muse, an ambitious project that’s seeking to attract attention in hopes of nominations for the 2021 AVN Awards as a candidate for Best Feature Film, as well as Best Actress.
“Mistress Maitland is also the debut project of my contract with VMG/ Deeper.com," said Ward. "This, along with Muse, is a brand-new direction for the adult genre that we hope will continue, as we bridge the gap between mainstream and porn.”
