Marica Hase Headed to L.A. Anime Expo in July

LOS ANGELES—Marica Hase—who has been recovering and documenting her cancer journey on her YouTube Channel—announced she will return to the industry in July, kicking off with an appearance at Anime Expo 2019.

On Friday, July 5, Marica will be appearing at the Anime Expo in Downtown Los Angeles, and signing at Asian streetwear company Nandesuka’s booth. Marica and her friends at Nandesuka have collaborated for special, limited edition Anime Expo Fuck Cancer t-shirts and bags. Marica will be selling this merch, as well as 8x10s, and be available for photos. All the money raised will be donated to the City of Hope, who has helped her with her cancer surgery and aftercare.

“I’m so excited to be back and appearing the Nandesuka’s Anime Expo booth,” Marica said. “Designing my Fuck Cancer tees and bags with them has been amazing, and I can’t wait to debut them. I’m so appreciative of everything the City of Hope has done to help me and want to donate money to them, so they can continue with their important cancer research and helping others like me. If you’re at the Anime Expo, please stop by the Nandesuka booth, say hi, and purchase my merchandise.”
