LOS ANGELES—Maitland Ward returns to Deeper in “Pigeonholed,” a new scene directed by Kayden Kross.
The new release opens with Ward auditioning to be a film’s new leading lady after being typecast as a woman beyond her prime. She then shows casting directors Dan Damage, Chocolate Rod, and Troy Francisco that she can command the screen with authority.
“There’s never an expiration date on a woman’s power,” Ward said. “Women are constantly having to prove their worth and dominance, and my role in this scene shows that women can continue to be in control and fight for what they want in any industry.”

“Pigeonholed,” is Ward’s newest scene since first signing with Vixen Media Group in 2019. As VMG’s longest-standing exclusive contract star, she’s starred in several award-winning features including Drift, Muse, Mistress Maitland, and Drive. A frequent advocate for destigmatizing porn, Ward, who is known for her work in television and films before joining the adult industry, is also a best-selling author with her first memoir Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me from Hollywood, and her upcoming book, My Escape from Hollywood: Unapologetic, Unfiltered, and Unashamed, set to be published in September.
