PERTH, Western Australia—Since launching her career four years ago, Lucy Banks has sparked the inspiration for the upcoming release of singer Chris Carbon’s debut single "OnlyFans."
With the racy lyrics, "She’s hitting right back so you better quit running your mouth, take your hands south, pull off your pants, self-love is what it’s all about, so join me in celebrating her wriggling till that raging roar…" Banks says she’s already a firm fan.
Carbon details his motivation for writing the song, which is now available through most major streaming platforms, and through an Instagram reel.
Carbon said, "I came across the story of a local Perth woman, Lucy Banks, who was struggling to make ends meet on a corporate salary as an independent mother… I was inspired by her story and the control that she took back in her own life. I wanted my song to reflect this and to challenge some of the negative stereotypes of working in that industry and to make a comment on just how accessible that kind of work has become today."
For her part, Banks enthused, "Chris reached out to me through OnlyFans, explaining that he had written a song about me. I didn't really believe it at first, but then a few weeks later he sent me the link. It was very cool to listen to something that talks about my story in such an empowering and positive way."
