VALENCIA, Calif.—Girlfriends Films, the company that specializes in girl/girl sex, has announced the release of the latest addition to their documentary-like Lesbian Sex series. Lesbian Sex 18 is now available on the Girlfriends Films website and at adult retailers and e-tailers nationwide. Packed with over four hours of interviews and girl/girl sex footage, the film features four all-girl scenes, preceded by intimate personal conversations between each pair of talent.
According to director and Girlfriends Films founder Dan O’Connell, the concept of the Lesbian Sex series is much different than anything else Girlfriends Films (or anyone in the adult entertainment industry) has ever done.
“This is the only Girlfriends series that does not feature a fictional storyline,” O'Connell explained. “This is more of a real-life documentary that gives a true look into the lives of the performers. Rather than following a script, each pair of girls has a conversation regarding their backgrounds, early sexual history, their experiences in the adult business, and their favorite kinds of lesbian sex. Then, it is on to the bedroom to back up their talk with action.”
O’Connell noted that the concept of real, unscripted interviews is something he has long enjoyed as a way to give the public a pure, genuine look at the people making adult films.
“After long enduring the general public’s continual negative misconceptions about our business and performers—something that has recently been all too evident in the Stormy Daniels saga—I devised this series years ago for the sole purpose of providing a realistic look at the women who perform for Girlfriends Films," he stated. "It is basically a counterattack on the unfounded generalities with which our industry and performers are thoughtlessly mislabeled. Getting the public to change its perception is pushing the bus uphill, of course, but I feel strongly about this.”
When it came to casting the feature, the director was excited to welcome several notable and award-winning adult film actresses back to the Girlfriends set. First, he paired busty brunette adult superstar Angela White with statuesque blonde Giselle Palmer.
“I was aware that Angela White and Giselle Palmer had long been itching to work with each other," O'Connell said. "Due to her popularity, one has to book Angela far in advance and I made sure to do so. Whenever I see Angela perform on a Girlfriends Films set, I am reminded why she won just about every award this year. Giselle is also a great performer and has the greatest orgasm reactions.”
O’Connell also brought in hot star Romi Rain for her first Lesbian Sex interview-style production.
“Along with being one of the prettiest girls to ever grace our business, Romi Rain is another award winner and for good reason," he noted. "I can’t think of another performer who puts more energy into a scene. Every time she’s on our set, she mentions how much she desires girls who really like girls. With that in mind, I decided to match her with Blair Williams, another high-energy, over-sexed performer. That was quite a scene, of course.”
The next pairing matched two veteran Girlfriends performers, platinum blonde Aaliyah Love and chesty redhead Lauren Phillips. Despite having appeared in hundreds of Girlfriends scenes between them, and each playing a role in the ‘Messed Up!” miniseries of Lesbian Psychodramas, this was the first pairing of the two in a GFF production.
“Aaliyah is always one of the most animated and interesting people to listen to,” he described, “and it’s always a pleasure having Lauren Phillips on set. The fans are really going to like this one.”
For the fourth scene, the director let blonde starlet Scarlett Sage have a hand in casting her co-star, and the set-up reads like a Hollywood movie. “Scarlett Sage wanted to partner up with new girl Athena Faris. I didn’t know the back-story until their conversation [in the feature] but Scarlett found Athena at a restaurant where she was working. Athena had never had sex with another woman before and Scarlett took care of that, eventually getting Athena into the industry. Scarlet [also] described her first sexual interaction with a girl, a lesbian at her school. Afterward, the girl immediately outed Scarlett to the student body, which kept Scarlett from exploring any more same-sex relations until after graduation.”
As for the relationship between Sage and Faris he noted, “They continue to be gal-pals outside of work, so they are quite well practiced.” O’Connell added that the girls put that practice to good use on the set of Lesbian Sex 18 as well, putting on “a grand display with amazing kissing throughout the scene.”
