HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Award-winning director Jim Powers recently guested on the “And Now We Drink” podcast. The audio version of the episode is now available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The video version is available on YouTube.
Powers stopped by the podcast accompanied by his production assistant and adult performer Spencer Bradley. They chatted with host Matt Slayer on a wide variety of topics including creating the gonzo series American Bukkake, still trying to make stories, always wanting talent to have fun on set, the difference between being on a pro set versus filming content, and parodies Power’s has directed like Gilligan’s Bi-Land and Gilligan’s Trans Adventures. Powers also detailed how he got into porn, why he feels like he never had a real job, and “how 9/11 saved porn.”
The group also discussed industry drama, “magical pussies,” Mexican donkey shows, Brazilian glory holes, religion, and drinking absinth at the Vampire Bar in New Orleans.
“This was a fun interview! I’m glad Spencer came along and made it even more entertaining. All three of us have many opinions and you’ll definitely laugh more than once listening to this podcast,” Powers said.
