HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Award-winning director and punk rock bassist Jim Powers and his band Killroy are slated to perform at "The Last Slam" to be held at The Federal (a.k.a. the Knitting Factory Noho) on Friday, Dec. 29, before this venue closes permanently.
Killroy will play live on stage with Powers on bass, Tom De Spain on vocals, Eric Troop on guitar, and Ken Wilkes on drums. This is the last show that will take place at The Federal, which will occur 10:30 p.m.
The lineup for "The Last Slam" also has Luicidal (featuring OG Suicidal Tendencies members), Das Klown, The Generators, Sidekick, and Madam Bombs. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. The event is all-ages.
Powers said, "We’re sad that The Federal is calling it quits but excited we’re part of the last punk show at the historic venue. Come to the show—it’s the most fun you can have on a Friday night, besides watching my porn."
The Federal is located at 5303 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood. Buy advance tickets here or pay $20 at the door.
Also, check out Killroy's latest EP, "Brutalized," on Mental Records. It includes five new songs, including the title track, "I'm a Man," "Punk Rocker," "Lazy Slob," and "TV." Apple Music subscribers can listen to it for free. Buy the EP and their previous albums in the iTunes Store.
