New Mashable Article Features Jessica Starling

TORONTO—Jessica Starling is among a number of industry professionals quoted in a Mashable piece about millennials saving the adult industry.

“Free porn is still an issue and always will be, but you have to find a way to work with it. Some millennials might not all pay, but based on my social media and platforms, many of them are. I’m thrilled to be included in the Mashable article and how it turned out,” Jessica said.

Written by Mark Hay, “How Millennials Are Saving the Porn Industry” is part of Mashable’s Horny on Main series that spotlights how thirsting for sex affects our lives. The article discusses how adult stars became influencers with their “digital clout” and how they’re driving fans to platforms where they can pay for a star’s content (clips, custom videos, camming, etc.). Adult stars are converting fans from social media and free content sites to pay for their content. Millennials are actually paying for content and sometimes twice as much as their older counterparts, even though they grew up with easy access to free professional and amateur porn. In the piece, Pornhub reports that millennials are 55 percent of the site’s free users and 66 percent of their premium users, showing both ends of the spectrum.

Jessica is quoted about targeting millennials with her image brand, and marketing appeal, as well as asking them and her fans of every age demographic to be ethical about buying porn. “How Millennials Are Saving the Porn Industry” also has comments from Lance Hart, XHamster’s Alex Hawkins, Pornhub’s Corey Price, Team Skeet’s Salima, and more.
