LOS ANGELES—With just weeks left before AIDS Walk Los Angeles, Wicked Pictures contract performer and adult star jessica drake is calling on industry members to join Team Wicked and participate at the annual fundraising walk on October 23. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Grand Park, 200 N. Grand Ave. Los Angeles, 90012.
Last year Team Wicked raised $15,416, for a total of nearly $70,000 over the last four years for the event benefiting AIDS charities.
This year, Team Wicked aims to raise $25,000 and so far has raised more than $11,450, making it second among all teams participating. As team leader, Drake herself has exceeded her personal goal and has raised over $5,000 to the effort for sixth place among individual walkers.
“Team Wicked has been doing AIDS Walk Los Angeles for the last four years and it’s always amazing to see everyone come together. What started off as me walking solo in celebration of my birthday got way bigger as we quickly reached Gold Team status,” Drake said. “With our increased visibility, we also aim to bring greater awareness to efforts to defeat Prop 60 at the event with our ‘No on Prop 60’ T-shirts, banners and signs. Please join us by walking with the team, donating, signal boosting, or all of the above. Together we can make a difference."
Team Wicked also includes Asa Akira, Saya Song, Brad Armstrong, Ryan Driller, Tyler Nixon, Alison Rey, Vanessa Veracruz, Venus Lux and many others. Adult industry performers and members may join by clicking here. Supporters, fans and anyone who wants to make a difference may inquire about walking with Team Wicked by emailing [email protected].
Those interested in donating may visit Team Wicked’s AIDS Walk L.A. web page.
“Thanks to jessica’s leadership, Team Wicked is once again one of the top fundraising teams at AIDS Walk Los Angeles and poised to surpass its last year’s total,” said Wicked owner Steve Orenstein. “It’s an amazing thing to see the industry rally around Team Wicked and put its best foot forward in support of AIDS Walk L.A. and the many AIDS charities it helps fund. We are thrilled to be a part of this great community that is making a difference in the lives of so many.”
