LOS ANGELES—Adult film star Jay Taylor's career in XXX started in 2010 when she became a cam girl, and got her first break into the industry working as a fetish model and then worked at Kink.com. Taylor has a successful content company, working with her partners at Slamdog Films, where she posts her scenes on a weekly basis on Clips4Sale. Taylor also maintains Clips4Sale stores for over 16 different performers including Nina Hartley, Raven Rocket, and Eric John.
But this wasn’t enough for the busy Ms. Taylor, who has branched out into the mainstream industry with the Indie film company Crackhorse Films, with partner Sean Williams. For the last three years they have been making Indie films that have made the rounds on the festival circuit.
The pair just wrapped production on a comedy/horror short titled Wish Granted, starring Nickelodeon regular Caleb Thomas and utilizing adult industry talent Dick Chibbles and Justin Hunt, and are in production on a new comedic feature, Welfare of My Mental Health.
“We're dedicated to learning through doing and to that end have produced two seasons of a web series, a half dozen shorts, and a few music and industrial videos. We also rent out our film equipment and expertise to other production companies and projects,” said Taylor.
“I have experience as a grip, production assistant, script supervisor, best boy, and assistant director, but my passion is in producing. I like to be a creative enabler, and feel like my job is to make things as easy as possible on those that are creating, and that my responsibility is all the busy work like scheduling, paperwork, and keeping track of the progression of the shoot,” added Taylor.
Taylor also has a successful YouTube Channel where she interviews various performers in the industry.
Jay Taylor has worked with such companies as Wicked, Penthouse, Zero Tolerance, Sweetheart Video, Devil's Films, Adam & Eve, and James Deen Productions, and has new and exciting projects already in the works.
